Snow Moon in Virgo on 20 February 2027: The Week After the Romance
The Snow Moon reaches full at 23:24 on 20 February 2027, in Virgo, and it is doing three things at once: it is a supermoon, it is a penumbral lunar eclipse, and it lands six days after Valentine's Day. That last one is the detail that will matter to you.
What the Snow Moon Is
The Snow Moon is named for the plain fact that February is usually the snowiest month of the northern winter. Some traditions called it the Hunger Moon instead, for the same reason and with less charm. It is the second and last supermoon of 2027, following the Wolf Moon in January.
Where the Magic Actually Happens
Astrology is better in person. Real people, real chemistry, real venues. Find your next night out.
The eclipse is worth being honest about. A penumbral eclipse means the moon passes through the faint outer part of Earth's shadow, so unless you are looking carefully you will not see anything happen at all. Astrologically it still counts, and eclipse full moons have a particular reputation: they do not start things, they finish them, and usually faster than you expected.
The axis is Pisces and Virgo. The Sun is in Pisces, which blurs, forgives and fills in the gaps with hope. The moon is in Virgo, which does none of those things. Virgo looks at the actual evidence.
What It Means for Your Love Life
This is the audit. Six days after Valentine's Day, the flowers are past their best and so is the goodwill, and a Virgo eclipse moon arrives to ask what is actually true here. Not what was said in a card. What happens on an ordinary Tuesday.
Virgo notices the things Pisces has been generously overlooking. The cancelled plans. The effort that only arrives when it is being measured. Nothing new will be revealed this week, which is the uncomfortable part, because you already knew. The eclipse simply removes your ability to keep not minding.
The risk is that Virgo does not know when to stop. There is a difference between seeing clearly and picking holes, and an eclipse moon in Virgo will happily cross it and then start on itself. If the audit turns into a list of everything wrong with you by Thursday, close the notebook.
The upside is that Virgo is practical, and practical is exactly what a vague situation needs. This is a very good few days for fixing something small and real, which is usually how the large things get fixed.
If You Are Single
February is when situationships go to die, and an eclipse in Virgo will hurry that along. If something has been almost happening since autumn, expect it to resolve itself this fortnight, with or without your permission. That is not a loss. An almost is the most expensive thing you can keep.
Virgo is discerning rather than cold, and the distinction is worth holding onto. Standards are useful. A checklist that no living person could pass is just fear with better handwriting.
How to Use It
Write it down rather than say it. Virgo thinks best on paper. Whatever this moon brings up, get it out of your head and into a list first, and you will find about half of it was mood rather than fact.
Do not force an ending just because one is available. Eclipses are famous for closing doors on their own. The things that genuinely need to end under this moon will manage it without you staging a scene on the 20th.
Fix one small thing. Reply to the message you have been avoiding, or book the thing you keep meaning to book. Virgo moons reward the unglamorous action enormously.
Somewhere to Start Again
If this eclipse clears something out, February is a better month to be busy than to be reflective. Our astrology-led singles nights run across nineteen UK cities and New York, so have a look at what is coming up or find your nearest city. If you would rather not be matched with anybody at all this month, our Wellness at First Sign nights are the same rooms and the same people with none of the dating.
What Comes Next
The Pisces new moon in early March closes this eclipse season and is the softer, more forgiving counterpart to this one. Then the Worm Moon in Libra on 22 March arrives two days after the spring equinox, and the whole mood of the year changes.
