Tinder Just Added Astrology Mode. We've Been Doing This For Years.
So, Tinder made headlines today.
At their first-ever product keynote, the world's biggest dating app unveiled a stack of new features for 2026. including an Astrology Mode that lets users match by their Sun, Moon and Rising signs, and a new Events tab connecting singles at real-life meetups.
Where the Magic Actually Happens
Astrology is better in person. Real people, real chemistry, real venues. Find your next night out.
If you're nodding along thinking "wait, isn't that just… what Love at First Sign already does?" - yes. Yes it is.
And we're not mad about it.
Why is everyone suddenly obsessed with astrology dating?
Astrology and dating have always been a natural pairing but something shifted. Gen Z in particular has embraced the idea that your birth chart says something real about who you are and how you connect. It's not just a fun party trick anymore; it's a genuine framework for understanding personality, communication style, emotional needs, and compatibility.
Tinder's own data backs this up: early testing of their Astrology Mode showed a nearly 20% increase in likes sent to astrology-enabled profiles. Women, especially, are engaging more when the stars are involved.
This isn't a trend. It's a cultural shift in how people want to date.
And what about IRL dating events?
Here's what the big apps are finally waking up to: people are exhausted by endless swiping. The apps that will win in 2026 are the ones that get people off their phones and into a room together.
Tinder is testing this with a new Events feature, pottery classes, trivia nights, that kind of thing, currently in beta in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, in the UK, Love at First Sign has been running sold-out dating events that combine astrology, real human connection, and a genuinely good night out. No swiping. No ghosting. Just people, in a room, with something interesting in common.
So what exactly is Love at First Sign?
Love at First Sign is part of the Cosmic Universe world where we use astrology and human behaviour to help people connect, through our hyper-personalised app Cosmic Fusion and our live dating events. We do three things:
- A hyper-personalised app that uses your full birth chart, not just your sun sign, to help you truly understand who you are.
- Live dating events across the UK in all major cities, designed to feel fun rather than forced
- Original content that helps you understand yourself and the people you're attracted to
We didn't add astrology as a feature. It's the whole foundation of our company.
And here's where we go further than anyone else.
While Tinder's Astrology Mode gives you your Sun, Moon and Rising signs, we use your full birth chart, every placement, every aspect, combined with Chinese astrology to build a compatibility picture that's genuinely layered. Your Western chart tells you how you love.
It's the difference between a horoscope and an actual map of who you are.
What this means for you
If the Tinder news caught your eye, that's your sign (pun absolutely intended). The mainstream is catching up to something that a growing community of people already know: that dating works better when it's personal, intentional, and grounded in something real.
Whether you're a devoted Scorpio, a sceptical Virgo who secretly checks your horoscope, or someone who just wants to meet people without the soul-destroying swipe loop... you're in the right place.
